JANUARY 20, 2012


The Pennington County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications from individuals who 
are interested in serving as a County Liaison on the Rapid City Public Library Board.

Service in this position is voluntary and no compensation will be derived. Board members are 
expected to attend one regularly scheduled meeting per month, as well as any special meetings 
which may be called if needs arise. Meetings are normally held the 3rd Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at 
the Rapid City Public Library.

Persons interested in applying for this position must be a resident of Pennington County and live 
outside the city limits of Rapid City. Those who wish to be considered for an appointment are 
asked to submit a Citizen Interest Application to busoffice@rcplib.org or the Library Business 
Office at 610 Quincy Street, Rapid City, SD 57701. The application is available in the 
Commission Office, at the Library or online at www.rcgov.org/Library/.

All applications must be received by 4:00 p.m., February 10, 2012. If selected, initial interviews 
will be conducted by the Rapid City Public Library Board of Trustees at their February 16, 2012 
meeting. An additional interview will be conducted and the applicant selected during the 
February 21, 2012 Board of Commissioners Meeting.
