The Pennington County Board of Commissioners will be holding a special session to accept 
Zoning Ordinance Amendment Applications from the public for review. Applications will be 
accepted from September 1st thru September 16th, 2011. During this special session, all 
application and filing fees will be waived to encourage public participation.

Please submit a completed Zoning Ordinance Amendment Application to the Pennington County 
Board of Commissioners Office, 315 Saint Joseph Street, Suite 156, Rapid City, SD 57701. The 
Zoning Ordinance and the Amendment Application can be found online on the County’s website 
at www.co.pennington.sd.us under the County Ordinance section. A hard copy of the 
application can be obtained from the Planning & Zoning Department or the Commission Office.

All applications must be received in the Commission Office by 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 
2011.

The list of submitted Ordinance Amendment Applications will be presented to the Board of 
Commissioners at their September 27th, 2011 meeting for initial consideration.
