Pennington County Board of Commissioner’s Vacancy – District 4

April 12, 2010

The Pennington County Board of Commissioner is accepting applications from individuals who 
are interested in serving as County Commissioner in District #4. This appointment will be to 
serve until the end of 2010, with the office being placed on the November 2010 ballot to fill the 
remainder of the unexpired term ending in 2012. Residents of Pennington County District #4 are 
eligible to apply. District 4 covers eastern Pennington County, most of Rapid Valley and some of 
south-central Rapid City. A map of District #4 is available at the Auditors Office or online at 
http://www.votepennco.com/election.htm.

Those who want to be considered for an appointment are asked to submit a written statement/ 
resume describing their background to the Pennington County Board of Commissioners, 315 
Saint Joseph Street, Suite 156, Rapid City, SD 57701. All documents submitted to the 
Commission are considered public information including the names of the applicants. 

All responses must be received by 5:00pm, April 30, 2010.

Interviews will be held as the last agenda item during the May 4th County Commission Meeting. 
A vote and appointment may occur at this time.
