Office of the Pennington County Auditor www.votepennco.com News Release For Immediate Release September 19, 2006 The 2006 General Election Sample Ballot and the 2006 Ballot Questions pamphlet are now available at the Pennington County Auditor’s Office and at www.votepennco.com. Sample ballots are also available at the Rapid City Finance Office and those locations which provide driver’s licenses, food stamps, TANF, WIC, military recruitment, and assistance to the disabled as provided by the Department of Human Services. The election ballot is lengthy this November. Julie Pearson, the Pennington County Auditor, advises, ”Take a few minutes to read the Sample Ballot before you vote. The Sample Ballot is available at our office and on our website. It will also be published in your local newspaper on November 1, 2006.” Early voting begins Tuesday, September 26th at the Auditor’s Office, Pennington County Courthouse, 315 Saint Joseph Street, Rapid City, SD. To vote, you must either present a photo ID or sign an affidavit which will be given to you. Accepted photo ID includes: * South Dakota driver’s license or nondriver ID card * US government photo ID * Tribal photo ID * Current photo ID from a South Dakota high school or South Dakota accredited institution of higher education.
