Real estate taxes are paid one year in arrears. (Example: In the year 2004, property owners will be paying 2003 real estate taxes.) Real estate tax notices are mailed to property owners in January. The first half of real estate taxes is due on or before April 30. The second half of real estate taxes is due on or before October 31. All special assessments are due on or before April 30. In addition, all taxes under $50 are due and payable in full on or before April 30.
The Treasurer is required by law to conduct a tax certificate sale the third Monday in December each year. A tax certificate will be issued and sold on any property having delinquent taxes.

No out-of-state checks are accepted. Send cashier's check or money order for vehicles.

Note: When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account.
Funds may be withdrawn from your account the same day we receive your payment. You will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
