Office Hours:

The County Welfare Office is open Monday through Friday.

6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Appointments:  9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Emergency Walk-in Sign-up:  7:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.*

*If you have an emergency, such as an eviction, an emergency walk-in sign-up time is available each morning from 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. It is on a first-come, first-serve basis and the time available is limited. If it is not an emergency, an appointment will be made.

County Welfare:

H&HS County Welfare provides emergency assistance for individuals who meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the Pennington County-approved guidelines and state statutes. This assistance includes:

Eligibility Requirements: Individuals must be Pennington County residents with no other resources available and must meet income guidelines.

Veterans' Services office:

The Veterans Service Office (VSO) is an agency within the Health & Human Services Department. The county VSO provides information on benefits and assistance to veterans.
